This question stood at the heart of a project where children took on the role of authors and creators, shaping the theater-musical performance themselves.

Music served as a tool for expressing what’s hard to put into words: through sound, through deep listening and through play and mutual support.

Creating a trusting environment where every child could feel safe enough to unlock their creative potential was essential for the project.

The process was built on the principle of participation: educators offered an impulse, an idea for theatrical improvisation, a musical motif and from there, children developed the scenes and songs together with the team. Phrases, images, and set-design elements created by the participants themselves came together into a performance about a city of the future, one that the children filled with their own imagination.
